Learn to Knit I 4-Session Class
Price: $45 Includes needles and yarn.
If you have been thinking about learning to knit, this is the class for you. You will learn to cast on, knit, purl, bind off and work simple increases and decreases.
You’ll also learn how to read a simple pattern, how to interpret yarn labels and how to recognize and fixmistakes. We will talk about choosing the right yarn and
needles for a project and essential notions for your knitting bag. We pack alot into the four classes but by the end you will have the skills needed to start a new project.

Learn to Knit II 3-Session Class
? Might this be you: You know the basics and are ready to move on to something more challenging but you don’t think you’re ready to go it alone just yet? Then this is the right class for you! We will be using a simple Jared Flood pattern, Turn A Square Hat. It’s one of his easiest and most popular patterns, suitable for men and women alike. You’ll learn to knit in the round using circulars and double points, basic colorwork, jog-less striping and the whys and wherefores of markers and decreases.
Prerequisites: Basic Knitting Skills
Materials Needed: Worsted Weight yarn in solid as well as either self-striping,
multi or solid contrast color, 16" circulars in size5 & 7, DPN’s in size 7, stitch
markers, pattern provided (used with permission).

Learn to Knit Left-Handed 3-Session Class
Price: $40 Includes needles and yarn. Instructor: Ann Pettit
Feb. 25, March 4, 11 10-Noon
You will learn to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, work simple increases/decreases, how to read a simple pattern, how to interpret yarn labels and how to recognize and fix mistakes. We will talk about choosing the right yarn and needles for a project and essentialnotions for your knitting bag. We pack a lot into the three classes but by the end you will have the skills needed to start a new project.
After School Learn to Knit 3-Session Class
Price: $20 Instructor: Ann Pettit

Learn all the basic skills needed to complete a scarf for your 18" doll.
Materials Needed—Worsted yarn and size 7 needles. Students can pick out their yarn during the first class.
Learn to Crochet 2-Session Class
Price: $25 Instructor: Pat Hazen
Sunday Feb. 8 and Saturday Feb. 21 1-3pm
Learn all the basic skills needed to complete your first crochet project. No experience necessary.
Materials Needed—1 ball Peaches & Crème cotton, Size G hook.
Learn & Practice Sessions
Each session—$8 Pick the date that works best for you. This is a great way to learn a new skill and have plenty of time to practice during class.
We’ll give you pattern suggestions if you decide you’d like to start a project using your new skill.

Weaving Workshop 5-Session Class
Jan. 24, 31, Feb. 14, 22, March 8 1-4pm
Price: $65 Instructor: Kristie Swanson and John Snyder
This class is suited for the beginner weaver as well as anyone who would like a refresher. You will learn the basics of loom weaving
and the skills needed to create a woven project of your choice. You’ll learn about the loom, how to set it up, planning your project
and good weaving/finishing techniques. No experience necessary.
Gansey Sample Sweater 5-Session Class EASY-INTERMEDIATE
Feb. 28 10-1pm, March 7, 14, 21, 28 10-Noon

We will be working from Beth Brown-Reinsel’s book Knitting Ganseys as we cover all the techniques needed to knit a true Gansey sweater… but done in miniature! It’s a fantastic idea of Beth’s and we think it’s the ideal way to introduce you to these wonderful, dearly loved sweaters. Ann’s step-by-step, leave-no-one-behind style of teaching means even those with basic knitting skills can tackle this project, all the while learning Gansey history and some versatile skills (chart reading, vertical patterning, cables, split welts, mock seams, a pretty cast-on, shoulder straps and joins and more). We know you’re going to enjoy this class!
Prerequisites: Basic Knitting Skills, comfortable with casting on, knitting in the round on circular needles.
Materials Needed: 100% wool Worsted Weight yarn such as Cascade 220 in a light to medium value (so to see the
stitch definition easily), 16" circular needles in sizes 5 & 7 and DPN’s in size 7, stitch markers, stitch holders.

Homework: Stop in before class and we’ll help you pick out a yarn and color and get it wound for you.
Needle Felting with Martha Gibbs—Bunnies & Chicks

A fun, easy technique for creating the sweetest little bunnies and chicks. And just in time for spring! Martha’s classes are fun and easy.

Class fees are refundable as store or class credit up to 48 hours before the class. There is no refund if you cancel within 48 hours.
The shop or instructor reserves the right to cancel the class. In such an event you will receive a full refund.
